XI 3.0 Vs PI 7.0

Hello SAP Crew,

Well i am working on XI 3.0 to PI 7.0 Upgrade project and would like to know some information on the PI 7.0 enhancements before starting the task.

Q) What are the advantages and disadvantages of using RFC's in PI 7.0 compared to XI 3.0?

I would highly appreciate the replies and the useful information provided by the team ......
