movement type assignment to item category used in service order....

hi all,

in service order "components" tab, i want to use an item category whose movement type "531". i defined new item category and i want to assign movement 531 to it. where can i do this assignment?

HI,

Assign the movement type in schedule line category and maintain the determination in the combination of ur new item category and this schedule line category in tcode VOV5 and maintain ur entry in VOV4 tcode for the particular sales document type and the item category.

Definately it will works.

you usually assign movement type for a schedule line category in VOV6

thanks but your answers are to define movement type while processing sales order.

i'm not asking for sales order. it is service order.

there is no transaction code like vtpm

pl check this table/view in SM30 : V_DITCOKO , select maintain.

or

follow this menu path :

SPRO > Plant Maintainence and Customer Service > Maint. and service processing > Maintainence and service orders > Functions and settings for order types > Goods movement for Orders > Maintain movment types for PM/CS orders.
