scenario is:-
having no of centers ( like plants) in one city........
same for each city.....
I want to give seperate coding for each city project profiles ........ is it possible
how?
Also you can use Validation to only permit the correct asignment of a Plant for a project ID
If your project type is defined with two caracters, you can use the next 3 or 4 caracters to identify que center where should be executed the project, and use the validation rule to only permit a few values on this caracters and validate that the asignment of the plant for the WBS elements has a relation with the project ID or WBS element ID

Project coding mask is used generally to identify different types of projects and the WBS structure following it.
In your scenario if you want to identify the project with respect to a plant/ location you are free to do it. There is no restriction on how you want to use it. The length of the prefix (PL: project length) is maximum of 5 characters.
Probably you can use this character set to identify your plant/ location.

Hi,
There is no logic for Project coding mask creation & assignment to your Projects. Based on your business requirments, you can make your own Codig mask & create project accordingly. Each Project Coding mask should be unique.
