Hi,

There are still two types of server:

- The WebAS, part of the Netweaver product. Currenttly it's 6.4 withing NW2004, but eraly next year it's called WebAs 7 within NW2004S.

- The R/3 server, now called mySAP ERP (2005).

Since R/3 4.7EE, the base/core for R/3 and WebAs are the same. For 4.7 it's 6.2.

Hi,

I comes to the fact that WebAs and the classic R/3 (starting from 4.7) share the same core or base. There is main difference in scope of both products.

mySAP ERP is enhanced by industry-specific features and things like HR, PM, etc.

Netweaver is a integration and application platform, where you can find things like WebAS, Portal, BW, etc., but no functional stuff like HR.
