DSD Connector Cockpit - Manual change of Mobile ID when new version on MDSD

Hi guys,

I am currently on a MDSD engagement. When changing the version of the MDSD application in NWA 7.0, we need to go to DSD Connector cockpit and assign the new Mobile ID to each device.

This is acceptable for a limited number of mobile devices, but if we think massively (say 500 handhelds, for instance), this task seems un-practical.

Any comments on this? Does SAP MDSD offer some automatic way of changing this Mobile ID? What are the implications on not changing this Mobile ID?

Hi Jose,

create and assign some dummy application to PDA. Use then this dummy application to connect driver with PDA in DSD connector cockpit. As you upgrade your MDSD application there will be no change necessary in dummy application and thus the connection will not be broken.
