Can Base Unit of measurement of article be changed?

Can Base Unit of measurement of article be changed in SAP IS Retail?

If yes how?

If no why?

Hello,

Once created, you cannot change base unit because it is required for most of the other views of Article Master. For example, Logistics DC->Accounting View, Base unit is required for calculating and posting initial MAP.
