Shipping Point Determination

Dear All,

while processing an order shipping point is not determing , though I configred all the shipping point, shipping conditions, loading group and delivering plant but the sytem neither determing automatically the shipping pont nor its allowing me manually entering for this shipping point, its giving error massage " shipping condition, loading group, plant, storage locations are not defined"

but all of these are defined and assigned.

Please give me the soluation to this problem its very urgent.

Enterprise Structure:

1. Maintaining Sales Organization

Sales Organization is an organizational unit responsible for the sale of certain products or services.

IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Definition -> Sales and Distribution -> Define, copy, delete, check Sales organization

2. Assigning Sales Organization to Company Code

This assignment ensures all the sales made through this Sales Organization are accounted for in the assigned Company Code (Company Code is created by FI Consultant).

IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Sales and Distribution -> Assign Sales Organziation to Company Code

3. Maintaining Distribution Channel

Distribution Channel is the way, in which Products or Services reach Customers.

IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Definition -> Sales and Distribution -> Define, copy, delete, check distribution channel

4. Assigning Distribution Channel to Sales Organization

This assignment ensures, a Sales Organization can supply Materials to Customers through this Distribution Channel.

IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Sales and Distribution > Assign distribution channel to sales organization

5. Maintaining Division

Division is a way of grouping materials, products, or services.

IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Definition -> Logistics - General -> Define, copy, delete, check division

6. Assigning Division to Sales Organization

IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Sales and Distribution -> Assign division to sales organization

7. Setting up Sales Area

All the sales are made from a particular sales Area. For creating a Sales Order Sales Area is compulsory.

IMG ->Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Sales and Distribution -> Set up sales area

8. Assigning Sales Organization- Distribution Channel- Plant

Plant is created ny MM Consultant.

IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Sales and Distribution -> Assign sales organization - distribution channel - plant

9. Define Shipping Points

Shipping Point is the Organizational element, which is responsible for shipping the Materials to the Customers.

IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Definition -> Logistics Execution -> Define, copy, delete, check shipping point

10 Assigning Shipping Point to Plant

This assignment ensures that goods from different Plant can be dispatched from different Shipping Points.

IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Logistics Execution -> Assign shipping point to plant

Note: Ensure to do the undermentioned configuration also though it is not in Customizing node of Enterprise Structure.

11. Defining Common Distribution Channels for Master Data

Use

The purpose of this activity is to define distribution channels which have common master data..

Procedure

Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:

IMG Menu -> Sales and Distribution -> Master Data -> Define Common Distribution Channels

Transaction Code: VOR1

12. Defining Common Divisions for Master DataUse

The purpose of this activity is to define distribution channels which have common master data..

Procedure

Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:

IMG Menu -> Sales and Distribution -> Master Data -> Define Common Division

Transaction Code: VOR2

Also Ensure the following settings:

Option 1:

IMG --> Logistic Execution --> Shipping --> Basic Shipping Function --> Shipping pint & Goods receiving point determination --> Assign Shipping Point ( Shipping Condition + Loading Group + Plant --> Shipping Point)

Option 2:

IMG --> Logistic Execution --> Shipping --> Basic Shipping Function --> Shipping pint & Goods receiving point determination --> Set Up Storage-Location-Dependent Shipping Point Determination --> Assign Shipping Points According to Storage Location (Shipping Condition + Loading Group + Plant + Storage Location --> Shipping Point)

In Option 2 it becomes mandatory to maintain storage location at Sales Order level, so that correct Shipping Point is determined.

Hello Gurus,

I want to know that if we have more then 12 shipping point with 1 plant then where we have to assign the 13 shipping point....this thing is important.....coz u cant assign more then 12 shipping point on one plant....and my client requiremnet is for the 13 shipping point also assign with the same plant.......so can anyone through some lights on this situation.....?

Hi Mohsin,

In SAP you can assign any no. of shipping points to a plant. At the same time a shipping point can be used for more than one plant.

hi

just check the fllowing things

1) check the customer master record (shipping condition) e.g (01)

2) check the material master record ( loading group) eg (0003)

3) go to OVL2 and assign to ur palnt

Exm 01----0003--plant

if this entries is not go to new enteries

also check OVXC assign shipping point to plnt

hi

the first and the most important thing is check whether you have assigned your shipping point to your company code and your shipping point to plant while defining enterprise structure

next assign the shipping conditions in customer master---> sales area data ---shipping tab

assign loading group in material master----> sales/ general plant view

there are three places where we assign plant

CMIR

customer master-->sales area data--> shiping tab

material master----> sales org 1 view

if plant is not assigned in any of these places then it cant be determined in the sales order

and if plant is not determined then shipping point cannot be determined

after assigning these in their relevant master data

now assign shipping point

T CODE: OVL2

example

01-0001-1200----1200

Please check in the following areas

1) OVXC - Shipping point has to be assigned to plant

2) OVL2 - check for the combination of shipping condition, loading group and plant, shipping point is assigned

I think, in either of the above the setting is missing and hence the problem.

Hi,

As you have told you have determined the shipping point, you also have to assign it to Plant for automatic shipping point determination...

for this Goto SPRO-> Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Logistics Execution -> Assign shipping point to plant...
