System Copy for SAP Systems Based on NW 04 SR1 ABAP+JAVA

Hi Folks,

I want to do system copy of SCM 4.0 ABAP only

OS - Win 2003

DB - MsSQL

SCM - 4.0

I am not able to find the system copy document of the above said on market place.

Please let me whether system copy is possible or not for the SCM 4.0.

Hi,

For ABAP System copy on SQL check following note.

151603 :Copying an SQL Server database (homogeneous system copy)

551915 - R/3 won't start after database restore or database copy

For Livecache check following note

Note 457425 - Homogenous liveCache copy using backup/restore

Please tell me that system copy is possible for SCM 4.0 with the above mentioned detail. As I am not able to get system copy document on the market place while it's available for the 5.0 WebAs 700.

for system copy of SCM 4.0 use the document system copy for webas 6.20

perform DB copy as note 151603 :Copying an SQL Server database (homogeneous system copy)

apply sap note 551915 - R/3 won't start after database restore or database copy after DB copy.

if you want to perform livecache copy also

check Note 457425 - Homogenous liveCache copy using backup/restore

also consider Note 886103 - System Landscape Copy for SAP SCM

I have optimizer also installed on the same SCM server...so during the the system copy how we will do this optimizer copy.

Hi,

optimizer does not contain any data,

you can install optimizer on new system (it's optional)

check Note 603828 - APO 4.0: Importing an optimizer version

after installing that check the RFC connection for optimizer under SM59
