sale order qty

Hi experts,

Scenerio:

I need to sell a qty in Bags for one customer and pallet for one customer.

but in the configuration of material master i set as 1 bag = 10 pcs.

Now for anoter customer 1 pallet = 20 pcs

Kindly help me how to resolve it

In Material Master Data (MM02) --> Additional Data --> maintain Unit of Measurement as per requirement.

hello, friend.

i'm not sure from your question, if you've tried alternative units of measure in the material master? because this could very well meet your requirements.

if your base unit in the material is piece, in your units of measure you can do

1 bag = 10 pieces

1 pallet = 20 pieces

if you made an entry in sales unit, this is proposed in the sales order but can be overwritten.

please clarify if this satisfies your question or if there is another angle to it.

hi,

I material master in sale unit we can set that 1bag = 10 pcs.

If one customer asking 1 bag = 5 pcs.

we need to change the material master or we can enter as a second enrty.

How the system will fetch the data in sale order

Hi SP

go to basic data 1 view in MMR there you enter the base unit of measure as pcs , even the sales unit you keep it as pcs only .now go to additional data tab , there you enter as many alternative base unit of measure (conversions) you need

In your requirement it is

1carton = 5pcs

1bag= 10pcs

1pallet = 20pcs

When you create sales order , depending upon the customer, change the base unit of measure which is there in the line item near the order quantity ,you want to put in carton or bag or pallet.

Well in that case maintian

1 bag = 10 pcs

1 cartoon = 5 pcs.

and who ever calls 5 pcs it bcomes 1 cartoon.

but if u want to maintian UOM customer specific then there is a field called unit group. in CMR just check that out . another field in customer mat info record but that field of uom is gryed out.

Dear SP,

First of all you define the unit of measure

1.Pcs

2.Bag

3.Carton

4.Pallet

Now you create material master for that material in the transaction MM01 ,while creating material master you enter the sales unit of measure in the Sales:Sales org.1 tab as pcs then go to additional data -->Unit of measure tab there you maintain alternative unit of measure as

5pcs=1carton

10pcs=1bag

20pcs=1pallet

And maintain the other related data then save the master data

Now you create the sales order what ever you want like pcs or carton or bag or pallet system will accept.
