Sir,

What is the difference between Long Term Char. & Short term Char.

What are their Implications. Plz. tell me.

Hi,

Go thro the help tips provided by SAP

In a long-term inspection:

o There can already be a usage decision for the inspected material during the long-term inspection

o You can still record inspection results for long-term

characteristics, once you have made the usage decision

o The system sets a separate status in the inspection lot to identify the long-term inspection and it provides special worklists and workflow tasks for this purpose

You can set a MIC as Long term inspection in Control indicators.

Thanks for the immediate response

In our case after UD is done their may be a possiblity of change in result already recorded.which is the requirement of our client.Is their any implication on test certificate creation .

Hi,

You cannot change the results , once UD is taken , unless it is a long term characteristics.

Ref the forum post below.

Normally , if readings are erratically entered by mistake , and if you want to document the same , You can manually create a lot & record the correct reading for that char's and give that lot ref in the original lot in the UD text.
