4.7EE Central Instance Error on SUSE Linux10

Hi All,

Im trying to install SAP 4.7EE ABAP(Non-Unicode) on SUSE Linux10. I have created all the required directory structure as per the SAP Installation guide.

When im running the installer for installing Central Instance, following error is thrown:

ERROR 2006-07-27 21:57:55

MOS-01049 Processing of host operation

Content of table: t_HostInfo_SHARED

Row[0] HostRole="LOCALHOST" Condition="true" OpMode="getInfo" HostName="value(NEEDED)" HostNameLength="value(NEEDED)" HostAddresses="value(NEEDED)" HostAliases="value(NEEDED)" HostCpuCount="value(NEEDED)" HostPlatform="value(NEEDED)" HostRam="value(NEEDED)" HostSwap="value(NEEDED)" HostCpuFamily="value(NEEDED)" HostOsFaName="value(NEEDED)" HostOsName="value(NEEDED)" HostOsType="value(NEEDED)"

failed.

As far as hostname is concerned, i have given ip address in /etc/hosts file and it is successfully pinging.

The hostname and IP address is:

suse1 192.168.0.2

can anyone plz tell me why this error occurs? If possible, any technical insight is appreciated.

I wonder, which guide have you followed for this install ?

Hi Faisal,

for the right issue in the . host - File, you must delete this line " 127.0.02<hostname>.<domain>.

Only one line like this " 127.0.0.1 ..." is guilty for the installation.
