Data size of original files

Hi All

Does anyone know the best way to determine the data size of all original files. We are not utilising the knowledge provider - our docs are stored on the SAP DB.

This is to answer a database sizing query for a new third party DMS system - they need to know how much size will be required just for the document files (originals)?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Mark,

generally the original data information is stored in table DRAO if you use the storage in SAP-SYSTEM, VAULT or ARCHIVE. For one original several lines are written into this table depending on the file size.

One line stands for about 2550 KB and so you can determine the file size by multiplying the lines in table

DRAO (for the same ID) with 2550 and you will retrieve the complete file size in KB.

Best regards,

Christoph

Thanks Chrostoph - have just worked that out, however are you sure it's 2550 Kb not 2550 bytes?

In communication with SAP they initially indicate 2550 bytes and then later in the same reply refer to 2550 Kb?

Thanks, Mark
