Hi @ all,
I've installed Visual Composer 6.0 on a Windows 2000 Server and applied patch 6.
On the client, I've installed the needed applications as adobe SVC viewer and Microsoft XML parser.
Now if I'm trying to access remote to the Visual composer with my client, the startup screen appears and after loading it displays an Error:
Fatal Error:
No Visual Composer Server was found at specified address
(Error reading server parameters in url:bin/gm1433030.asp)
I call the Visual composer over the link: "http://hostname/VCServer"
Does somebody have an idea why I got this error message? Do I have to configure something that is not described in the Installation Guide?
What if you call it using the fully qualified host name?

Hi,
I've solved the problem.
I've only applied the newest internet explorer patch on the VCServer and rebooted it.
Now it works fine.
Thank you all for the help.

Dennis

Hi,
thank you for the hints.
I read the SAP Note and checked this on my ISS. But it seems that there ist everything alright. I still get this error on startup.
I'm using the full qualified hostname. I saw in a document that I have to call the Visual Composer with the portnumber of the VCServer.
http://<machine name>.<domain>:<b><port></b>/VCserver/
Could this be the problem I have? What is the default port?
Regards,
Dennis
