Dear All ,

While doing transaction CNE5 i am getting , all planned values like plan POC,BCWS but i am not getting actual values like Actual POC ,BCWP.

Inspite of confirming actvities and making service entry sheet up to MIRO.

All other configuration settings are correct.

Is Result Analysis key is to be defined for posting of actual cost.

Probably an obvious question...but did you run CNE1 or CNE2 before CNE5?

Dear captain caveman

Yes,Unless and untill I dont do CNE1, I may not get expected results in CNE5.

Hence I have run CNE1 before doing CNE5.

Suggest any mor inputs please

Dear Pravin Desai

You do not need a Results Analysis Key to calculate Actual POC

It would also be very helpful to those able to help... if you could add further details on what settings you are using to calculate your Actual POC (e.g. particularly your Progress Method for Actual POC)

e.g are you using WORK as the Actual Progress Method

Also can you be specific on the "exact" fields you are selecting in CNE5

And also the exact selection parameters when running CNE5

i.e. Progress Version / PLan Version etc

Dear Steve,

Thanks for your efforts,

I have taken Progress Method as Time Proportional at WBS element Level for Actual POC.

Work as measurement method is not allowed at WBS Level

In CNE1, I selected following fields

Project Definition ACE-ME1-07-017

or

WBS Element

or

Network

Progress Versio 101

To period 12 2007

In CNE1, I selected Project Definiton & took PS profile as SAPPS_EV0001.

Again while defining Measurement at Activity Level it give following error.

Network activity is assigned to an account header - note long text

Message no. 7A330

Diagnosis

You are processing a network activity or activity element assigned to a header. Because cost information is stored on the network header, the system cannot determine any earned values for this operation.

System Response

You can continue processing.

Procedure

Use networks assigned to an operation to calculate earned values. To enable an aggregation of the percentage of completion, choose either 'work' or a 'manual weight' within the progress version as the basis for weighting.

Kindly Suggest.

OK, so as I understand it...you have set the progress method to Time Proportional at the WBS element level.

But you want to use the Actual POC from Confirmations on the Network Activity level is this correct?

You have set the % complete via a confirmation on the Network Activity level - Is this correct?

If so as the help suggest..you can either set the Actual POC progress method to WORK on the Network Activity or you can use POC Weighting

But I think this may only be an option in Networks that are Activity Assigned not Header Assigned as yours appear to be.

We enter % complete in a confirmation via CJ20N or CN25

The progress method is WORK for the Actual POC and is stored on the Network Activity

Our Networks are Activity Assigned Networks not Header Assigned Networks

And we have no problems this end

Hope this helps

Thanks a lot Steve, for help.

I am getting the expected Results.

But I am getting BCWP cloumn as blank.

I have taken EV Basis as Budget (Active Project,Annual Values)

I have taken external services,generated PR,create PO,

and then Service Entry sheet.I am getting all values except BCWP.

Please reply.

Thanks,

We are not using Service Entries here...do you get the same problem if you just post an FI journal cost to the activity/network/wbs (whichever applies)

I think that you have confirmed that you can now see the Actual POC but just not the BCWP

Do you have Annual Budget Values for the WBS element?

Can you see these in CNE5 when selecting the appropriate Budget column?

Which POC Weighting have you used in your Progress Version

(perhaps try 3 Budget - Yearly Value)

Regards

Steve
