Hi Gurus,
My client have a question that why we need to create a task list for both regualr and preventive maintenace plan as they dont have them in legacy and also don`t have time to pull the task list from the whole list.Instead they has its own word document and they can simply cut and paste the info in long text.
COuld you please advice me what would be best solution for using task list?
Regards,
Vijay
hi
Task list is mainly used for easy planning for men , materials and etc for any repetative work ,it depends upon how you use it for example you are maintaining an DG for that you have already maintained the task list with material and labour ,as soon as your schedule as reached system will release the order with suitable resources,if in between you are planning any maintenance activity you dont want to enter the operation ,required materials once again in the order since the material will be same for maintenance .if you have maintanined the DG as equipment and you have created the equipment task list then the time taken to pull out the task list is less than the cut and paste method ,
Also you can use user exit to pull the task list automatically if you have maintained the task list for the reference object

hi
user exit are used when you the customer requirement is not fullfiled to the standard SAP.for example in your case in Standard SAP if you have created and Equipment task list and when you try to create an order for the same equipment still you have to manully pick the task list for the order , so if you want the equipment task list to be automatically picked by the order when you are creating the MO for the equipement then you have to use customer exit .in your case you have to activate the user exit no IWO10020 and activate ,for activating the user exit take help from technical people

Hi Vijay,
basically most of the customers use task list to integrate their periodic preventative Maintenance processses like inspections, cleaning etc.
So they describe wich activities have to be done within an interval and combine it with a mainteance strategy and maintenance plans.
i.E:
operation - Activity - WorkCenter - Work - interval
0010 - pump inspection - MECHANIC - 0,5 h - every month
0020 - pump cleaning - MECHANIC - 2 h - every month
0030 - pump exchange of filters - MECHANIC - 3 h - every 6 months
Then you put this task list into a bunch of maintenance plans and link them to the pump-equipments and schedule the maintenance plan.
kind regards
Lutz

Tasklist is sequence of operations for maintenance with specified manpower and material. It depends on your requirement weather to use it or not.
