How to send msgs

Hi all,

I hav requirement so that

The XI system retrieves the file stored by the Cognos Data Manager in the file server at a pre-defined frequency of 24 Hours. The job will be scheduled to run daily at 03:00 EET (01:00 GMT).and The Sunday uploads will be scheduled at 04:00 GMT.please let me know how to configure it.

Hi Swati,

Couple of Options in Fact

1. Either Schedeule the polling of the File adapter as already mentioned

2. Or schedule the Communication channel itself use availibility time concept

Hi Swati,

just have a sender file adapter using FTP to poll for your source file with poll interval of say 60 sec.............then in Comm channel monitoring in RWB, you can schedule your comm channel by availability time planning option and schedule your file adapter to poll for your file for the time you require.
