Hello!
Using blog [XI: Alerts - Step by step|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/2328] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken]; by Michal Krawczyk, I got alerting running. I set up a rule and got an email whenever an error occured. So everything is fine.
My problem is the language used in the alert email. For receiver used, I defined the email address needed and "German" as communcation language in transaction SU01. But the email received is in english.
Any idea where our system gets the language of the email from?
Regards and thanks,
Jan-Martin
Creating altert category logged in with language "German" makes SAP PI sending emails in German. The original language of the category does not matter.

Hi Jean,
XI uses the OS level regional language setting as the default language for your alert email..........i think your XI server OS has English language...........so i think you will receive emails in english only and not in any other language
