Port naming convention

Hello Friends

<b>For IDOC to File Scenario......</b>

1)What is the rule for naming ports

2)<b> If XIT is for XI

SVM is for R/3 </b>

IN R/3 ... What should be the name for port in it....

Is it "SAPXIT" (or) "SAPSVM" (or) something else

Hi,

Its better u keep the RFC destination name as the Port name...its a good naming convetion...in XI the port will be srating with SAPXX...

Hi,

use SAPXIT as a port in your integaration server of xi.

using IDX1.

Hi,

While creating the port in R/3 , let it be generate the port or you can define your own port also by selecting the radio button.

Here you can give like what ever u want like wise SAPXIT

While creating the port in XI Follw the naming convension as SAP <System ID of R/3>
