Hi,

I am getting the error "Local Gateway not running" in rfc developer trace file.

SMGW transaction is also not starting and is giving error :

"Connection could not be established to the local gateway"

In SM21, i have lots of entries as below

NiConnect Unsuccessful, Return Code: -0010

> Host: localhost

> Service: sapgw37

NiConnect Unsuccessful, Return Code: -0010

> Host: localhost

> Service: sapgw37

We are running SAP on Windows machine.

Kindly suggest on this to resolve.

Regards,

Sandeep.

Is the instance number of your system 37 ? What action is being executed here?

the instance number is 37.. currently all the background work processors are in HOLD status , reason - RFC

and its showing details as " waiting for sap gateway <GW server hostname>

FYI, SMGW is working now and i can see the active connection status.

connection to one server is in 'disconnect' status all others are showing status ' connected '

The port of sapgw37 should be 3337/tcp

is that correct?

also check that the port is open and the firewall is not blocking it
