I want a material to be packed my any packing material please give the configuration steps for the same

Hi ashis,

If ur task is just to pack a material then u can follow these steps :

For packing a material.

configuration setting

1)create material master for packing material , go to mmo1 specify material description, industry sector & material type(verp) packing , go to basic data base unit of type -BOx,MATERIAL GROUP-08, item category -verp, material group pf packing materila _ ex_go10, then sales genaral /plant ; specify packing mateila type _vo75the packing material type assigned to material master. it specifys allowed packing material that are allowed for an item that we want to pack

ex material grouop for pack material packing material types

0001-beverages - 0001 barells

specify allowed package wt--kgs

2)go tomm02 of material ie.to be packed ,go to the basic data aassign go1o material group for packing materials

3 go to thwe mb1c maintain stock.go to oms2 maintain the qtl updation for verp

4) GO VA01 AND RAISE SALES ORDER

5) GO TO VL01N raise outbound delivery do the picinkg select line item , the so to edit>pack> system presents a screen which has been sudivied into two screens

upper level screen reprents packing material

lower level screen reprents material to be packed

specify packing materila pack in upper level screen and press ebter , select lower level item and packing materila in upper scrren

go >edit>pack>pack

Hi Ashis,

Go through this IMG path here you can configur regarding Packing.

SPRO-->Logistics execution > Shipping>Packing

*Define Number ranges for Handling units

*Packing control by itemcategory

*Define Requirements for packing in the delivery.

*Define Packing material types.

*Define Packing material group for packing materials.

*Define allowed packing materials.

Create Packing material with Material type VERP.

Maintain Matl Grp Pack.Matls field in the material master Basic data 1 tab of the which you are going to pack.

Created a material in MM01 with material Type VERP.

In material grouping for packaging keep the field empty and try.
