Vehicle Resources - partly invalid in the planning horizon

hi,

While running Vehicle Scheduling optimiser, the log showed that the "Resources are partly invalid in the Planning Horizon".

Because the resources are invalid in the planning horizon, shipments were not planned, creating a havoc all of a sudden.

I would like to know why the resources are missing in live cache (LC) suddenly, when they are valid (the validity period of the resource is always 3 months from today).

Is it required to save the resources in LC periodically? If so how frequently?

"... the available capacity is not updated for a long time, the capacity available for scheduling in the future reduces as time progresses; the system does not automatically delete the capacity in the past. Using the report /SAPAPO/CRES_CAPACITY_LENGTHEN, you can update the available capacity of resources relative to the time at which the report is executed, without having to save them again"

you can schedule this report periodically as a background job.

Thanks a lot for your reply.

Yes i was under the impression that the report you have mentioned will also extend the resource in LC. But unfortunately it does not do, it was checked. Even after running the program the system complained that the resources are partly invalid.

Is there any other way to find if the resources are Valid in LC or not?

After applying notes 931638 & 1071563 as suggested by SAP the system works fine.
