Hi Gurus,
I was trying to configure the VAULT for DVA with the following steps.
1) Maintained the Global Settings:
Checked the "DVA active"
DVA User: User1
Password: 1234
2)Defined Number Ranges for Vaults
3) Defined data carrier type "vault"
a) Define vault: Type: ZA, Description: Vault1, Online checkbox: checked.
b) Define vault: Vault Path:
absyer1\project\1s\
c) DVAcomputer: Blank
Saved the configuration on the SPRO side.
4) Created the DIR and attached the original file: docA from my c drive.
5) Now Checked_In into the vault1. The lock icon is in locked status.
-
Problems:
1) I cannot see any internal number assignment to the file I checked in.
2) I cannot find the file docA on the server"absyer1"
3) I can find the file saved into my temp folder.
Question:
1) Is this the way to configure the vault?
2) If I am missing any steps?
3) Why cannot I see the system assigned internal#?
4) Why cannot I find the file saved to my vault?
POINTS AWAITING YOUR REPLY.
Thanks,
Paddy.

Hi Seema,
Thanks for your reply. I did have the link which u have sent me. But my question is about ..
1) Why I am not able to find the file which I have check_in into the vault of the network server. The same file gets checked in
my temp folder of the c drive.
2) Where should I be using the global settings for the user and password.
3) How do the numbering system works for the vault? When you say that the system assigns a iinternal number to the file which is invisible.
Thanks in advance,
Paddy.
