Cut over Workflow

Hi ,

We are doing SRM upgrade from 3.0 to 5.0 . During upgrade , we are implementing item level workflow whereas we are using header level approval in SRM 3.0 .

I would like to know what are the implications on the work item pending in the approver inbox . I am sure this is going to restart as per item level workflow .

SRM experts , Request valuable inputs from your own experiences.

Hi Mani,

Don't keep the old workflow pending approval, if you are changing the workflow design during the upgrade.

This created a lot of problems when we are testing the upgrade, so we asked all the approver to approve before the cutover.

One option worked for us is all the pending shopping carts need to change to retrigger the new approval.

Hope you may use our experience on this.

Hi Thanks ,

Obviously , we are going to ask all the approvers to clear their work items . However , we can not expect 100% adherence to this for various reasons . So we would like to have some plans to tackle this ....
