Hi developers,
I am having trouble in installing WebAS 6.3 Sneak Preview developer edition. The installation stops giving an error message that SAP J2EEE 3.0 cannot be installed.
The following is the last part of the log file.

Hi Satish,
Any success on solving the error? I am also getting the same error.
Do I have to forget the installation of Sneak Preview? Is there any place where SAP can help us in this?
thanks,
KP

Hi,
I also have this problem currently.
- I am using the administrator user in Windows
- It is a fresh system, with no previous versions of WebAS
Was there any resolution to this problem?
Cheers,
Vic

Hi Victor,
I had this same problem when trying to install a fresh copy of WAS 6.40 SP4 on a new XP machine. I looked at the security associated with the SAP install directory. Sure enough there was a USER identified as "CREATOR USER" that had no permissions. Also I would occationally get that number that the install complains about to flash on the screen.
To fix it I deleted the CREATOR USER permission entry from the top level of the install directory. I then stopped the install and had it start over from scratch. The problem was then gone.
Hope this helps,
