Upgrade SRM 3.0 to 5.0

Hello, one of our customers wants to upgrade from SRM 3.0 to SRM 5.0. Is there someone who has done this project already? The customer uses 3.0 hardly and wants to upgrade with the intension to use more functionality in 5.0. So the upgrade is most technicaly. I'm projectleader but I didn't do any SRM upgrade yet. Becourse this is a very straightforward project, I wonder if someone has a projectplan/-approach that I can get/use or knows where to find it. I have already the SAP SRM upgrade documentation. Also I want to know what the prerequisites are and which tips and tricks I must be aware of.

Hi,

We did upgrade from EBP 3.0 to SRM 5.0, technically not much challenges.

Few things to consider.

Close all the open workflows (Hard to resolve, also we enhanced the the approval process)

Check for core code mods in the templates.

Other than this overall we had very few problems with the upgrade.

Hi,

i have done a full upgrade of SRM 3.0 to SRM 5.0 (SRM 5.5 SERVER) which includes project management as well.

we had few challenges since we went implementation during SRM 50 rampup phase, now SRM 50 is stabilized.
