SAP Customer ID

Hi Experts,

Could you please provide the answers to the below questions.

1. What is meant by SAP Customer ID?

2. Why do we need this ID?

Note: Actually, Basis team asked the Customer ID to create the OSS ID.

Please provide the info.

Hi Sara,

Customer id is the one which SAP provides to the customer who implemts SAP in his firm or organization.

Tell your basis team that they dont need the customer id for create a oss id for you.If you work for the client in for a client there will be a person who has the right or permissions to create the id for you.Just ask him to log in to marketplace with his ossid and then under data administration -->user admin he can request a new id for you.
