IDOC in Sales Order

How can I find the IDOC number in a sales order?

Please help.

Hi Rumar,

An Idoc number can be found in a sales order only when if a output type and medium is maintained as 6 (EDI)

For a sales order usually a ORDRSP (Order confirmation) message is sent out.If that is the case then to find the Idoc go to the following path.

Extras - Output - Header - Edit you will find the Output type.

Click on that and check the 'Processing log' you will find the Idoc number which has been created for the sales order.

If the idoc number is not available in rpocessing log then check the further data >>note down the processed time and date.

go to WE02 transaction and specify ur time berttwen that.

sysetem will display few idoc whcih were rpocess on that time..

Check IDocs one by one for the purchase order numebr in E1EDK segment.

This way it is time consuming.but still it is way of identifying the idoc.

Hi,

You can use the Tcode WE09 to find Idoc number. Field name is BELNR for PO number under the segment E1EDK01. Restrict according to the SO create date.

Hi,

Please check whether that sales order has been created through Idoc or mannually created by somebody. If it is created manually by some body then u dont find Idoc number. For this just check the created user of sales order. if user name is some ones id then u dont see idoc number.

Hi

I was not able to find the IDOC number in the order, Header> Output.

But, the IDOC number can be seen in the delivery. In the delivery, header>Output, select the output and click on processing log to get the IDOC number.

In our business process, a sales order gets created based on the PO number that is maintained in one of the IDOC segment.

I checked in the sales order, but could not find the IDOC number.
