Does anyone know whether 32 bit content server 6.40 can work on x86 64bit Windows 2003 platform???
I hv installed 32bit content server on 64bit windows server but now i am getting error while creating the Content repository.
Content Server on Windows 2003 x64 is now supported(as of 04-08-2008). It looks like you can also install MaxDB on x64 as well.

Hi Prashant,
SAP Content Server 6.40 on NTIA64 and NTAMD64 (Windows 64 bit platforms) and Sunx86_84 (additional UNIX 64bit platform) is under construction. It is planned to be released in the second quarter of 2008.
Currently there isn't any content server version available running on Windows 2003 64 bit.
I hope this information is useful for you.
Best regards,
Christoph

Hello,
I installed a NW7.0 SR2 x64/MaxDB (ABAP+JAVA) on Win2003 SR2. For Knowledge Management I wanted to add a Content Server 6.40.
CS 6.40 will work under x64 environment but messed up my existing NW DB instance, because it installs it's own MaxDb version (32bit) so Content Server was running but not my NW DB. I'm just restoring my backup...
I am wondering if there is a way to add only the instance without installing the whole MaxDB software?
Cheers
Marco
