Hello, to change error msg description and symbol into warning/info msg

Hello Guru's,

Will anyone guide me the procedure to change the error message description in to warning message / information message including symbol. In MM transaction.

Hi,

If you talking about Material Managament message control

You can go to Logistics - General -> Material Master -> Basic Settings -> Define Attributes of System Messages.

You can make the message either as a warning or a error.

Application is M3 for Material Master. goto Transaction OMT4 and check what all messages you want as warning or error. You need to change the category accordingly. If your desired messages are not there in the list then you will have to get them created with the help of ABAP resource.

Hi,

You can change only those messages that belong to the v4 class of messages. If its not then may be creating a z program to meet your need would be better.
