reference number in VF01---customization

Hi all,

In vf01, the reference number is picking automatically. some times it's not delivery or sales order..etc.

I think there is some customizations have been done.

Now I want to copy the same functionality for another customer. I guess i need to add the customer to the condition in LOGIC.

Please help me where can i find the customizations done for the reference number.

I checked all user exits and in copy control..(i'm from technical side)...is there any other places..where we can do these customization.

Hi Venkat,

SAP stores the last document that has been created.

Now based on the standard SAP settings, whenever you go to the create any subsequent reference documents based on the original document, the original document number will be defaulted.

There is no customization setting in SAP.

Its user specific and would be defaulted for the user who created the original document.
