IDES 4.7

Dear all,

I'm facing a big problem with my IDES 4.7 that installed on Oracle 9i and Window 2003 advance server.

Server all the while running fine with no prob. But yesterday i was trying to perform a client copy(during client copy, i have sap logon session). But half way through the process my sap sesion suddenly got disconnected and error "No connection" prompted.

Then i was trying to login for few times, but same prob. Then i decided to stop SAP via SAPMMC(Management console) and reboot the server. Problem comes during reboot, because before i login to window system ask for disk checking, and perform disk fixing and file recovering.

Now, im able to login back to window. But I'm facing prob to start SAP via SAPMMC. Because disp+work.exe is able to run for few seconds then it stopped automatically.

And this is the log file from dir:

Error "severe db error 1033" is pretty obvious...

This means the DB is either starting or shutting down... but not online.

Check if you can connect to the DB via sqlplus...

Dear all,

Once disp+work.exe stopped, i immediate went to command prompt by key in --> sqlplus "/as sysdba".

FYI, im able to connect to oracle as below:

type "startup" at the SQL> prompt

If the DB is running it will tell you that is running, if its down it will start the db.... if its in the process of starting or stopping it will let you know that theres an action in progress...

That means the db is up and running...

Stop your sap system and then go back to the SQL prompt and type "shutdown immediate".... after this is done type "startup" again this will restart the database.

Then try to start the system again...

Nice to hear from u again. But i did tried as what you mentioned, stop db by using "shutdown immediate" and "startup" again. Then i connect to SAP, result still the same, disp+work.exe stop in within 10 secs. No luck.
