MaxDB and Contenet Server Installation Problem

Trying to install MaxDB 7.6 and Content server 6.4 on Suse linux 9.

During installation steps, it ask for Maxdb log volumes. If I try to give the maxdb installation directory, I got a msg saying "Invalid raw device" !

What would be a valid raw device ? How to fix this problem Pls?

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sheikh,

With MaxDB, you can choose to either install on Raw Devices, or in the Filesystem. Since you obviously don't have Raw Devices, choose for the installation of the database files in the Filesystem instead.
