How to delete a Shipment document

HI All

Can anybody pls tell me how to cancel or delete a Shipment document.

When I am trying to delete the Shipment document, the system is throwing a msg ' *Shipment 2050213 cannot be deleted as shipment costing has already started '.

Dear Manjunath,

As per your message I came to know that you created shipment cost document for that shipment document,So because of that reason the system is not allowing you to delete the shipment document.

Fallow these steps

-->First you delete the shipment cost document

-->You go in to the shipment cost document through VI02 transaction , you check the mark in the cacellation cehck box in the settlement tab (bellow transfer check box) then save the shipment cost document.

-->Again go in to the shipment cost document change mode go to menu bar click on(Top of The screen)shipment costs --> Delete.

-->Now you go to the shipment document change mode through VT02N transaction ,here you remove the deliveries from the shipment document then delete the shipment document.

-->Now system will allow you to delete the shipment document.

HI Manjunath,

You would have created the Shipment document for your shipment.

Since shipment cost document has been created you are not able to delete your shipment.

Goto the document flow of shipment find the shipment document number.

You can either delete vi02 enter drop down from top right SHipment costs and delete.

if you cant do that goto the shipment document in change mode choose the line item, double click goto tab settlement and then choose Cancelation check box.

Cancelling this you can delete your shipment.

Hi,

Changes can be made in stages.

To delete stages from the shipment document:

From the shipment overview screen, choose the Stages tab.

Select the stages you want to delete.

Choose Delete section.

The stages will be deleted.

Save your changes.

Hi,

First you reverse the shipment cost document then try to reverse the shipment document. Because for your shipment there is already corresponding shipment cost docuemen has been created

So first reverse the shipment cost then shipment.
