help - broken DC - SAP Community

Dear all,

I've a total of 0 broken DCs in EPD_EMITRACK_D..and all these Dcs are healthy,built successfully .but in EPD_EMI_TRACK_C,there's one broken DC,and it leads to fail of transportation of the activity. Any idea how to solve it? thank you

Hi Joan,

I would considet using the DTR command line tool to analyze the versions... I have seen this a few times before where they get out of whack a bit in C but D is fine.

If this fails, try re-initializing the compartment.

That certainly should not happen. Please double check the CBS as a compartment re-initialize should rebuild the CBS from the latest DTR active versions, it will take a while.

Of the compartment stays empty then that is scary and ideally should be investigated. If it stays empty then that indicates a lack of connection with the DTR or the DTR C active workspace is also empty which is the scary thing.

I am hoping you did the DTR command line investigations first as recommended.

If you have for some strange reason lost C then you need your last SCA assembled and also any DC's that have been put into C since that can probably be got from the Archive directory. I am on holiday this week so will have trouble responding at speed, I am sorry keep me posted, but hopefully someone else can also tuck in here.

I would strongly recommend that if an initialize fails that you raise a call with SAP as this should not happen

Hi Joan,

As Graham has written it is strange that you lost the DCs in Cons after re-initializing the compartment. Please check in DTR if there are DCs under cons workspace. If there are, then dropping the buildspace in CBS and saving the track should help you in getting the buildspace again with correct number of DCs.

When you save the track, CBS will try to build the content from DTR by creating the required buildspace if nothing exist. Hope this helps you.
