Hi
Freez Book Inventory :-
If you have not completed your inventory count, you can freeze the book inventory balance in the
physical inventory document. This is to prevent the book inventory balance, which is relevant for
physical inventory, from being changed by any movements. These could otherwise lead to
incorrect inventory differences.
Blocking Physical Inventory :-
To block the materials of a physical inventory document when you create the document, do the
following:
When creating an individual physical inventory document, select the Posting block field on
the initial screen.
When creating a session, select the Posting block field on the selection screen.

Physical Inventory.
1) Freeze Book Inventory- The stocks of materials in inventory doc. gets freezed. If in between you make movement of particluar material stock, it does not effect the book inventory stock. The material stocks are freezed.when we post the PI doc, the system compares the counted stock with the frozen book inventory balance to determine any inventory differences.
If you make any issues in between, creation and count, the system will not consider that difference,it takes in to consideration the frozen book inventory balance to determine any inventory differences.
2) Block physical inventory- Indicates that no goods movements involving the materials listed in the physical inventory document can be posted for the duration of a physical inventory count. you cannot make goods movement unless PI is completed.
