Dear fnds,

Iam working on Variant cofign....

I defined Class and Charecters...

Clent products is.....Charecter having and some varients...

X is the class

x1,x2,x3 is charecter

Int that X1 again X11,X12...etc....

How can i define...plzz it's very urjent req for me.....

It possible to maintain the hierarchy in CT04 as shown below:

X1-

X11

X12

X2-

X21

X22

For maintaining the characteristic value as shown follow the below procedure in CT04

1. Create a Characteristic "Name of ur Choice" in CT04

2. Select Data type as Characteristic

3. Select Value assignment "either Single or Multiple based on ur requirement"

4. Enter the X1 in the Characteristic Value tab

5. And select X1 and Click on Next Hierarchy level button at the bottom of the screen

6. A pop-up screen will be displayed to enter the next hierarchy as X1 and X2

7. Then Click on Previous hierarchy level to go to the main Characteristic value tab

8. Then Save.

Hi Friend,

to define variant cofig, first you have to define Characterstics.

To Define Characterstics, use the T-Code CT04. Here X1, X2,X3 are characterstics and X11, X12 are values of X1. X21, X22... are values of X2.

T-Code ....CT04, enter characterstic name X1

click on create. the system will give you a warning message. you just ignore it.

now you can see five tab pages here. Basic Data, Description, Values, Additional Data, Restrictins.

Select the Basic Data Tab page and enter Description of Characterstic

again enter Data Format and you should selest here 'Single Value' or Multiple Values'

in this situation you are going to enter multiple values so select Multiple values.

Now select Values Tab page enter the values here such as X11, X12, X13 etc.

Now save the characterstic. do the ame work for all charactersticks.

After defing chatacterstics, you have to define Variant Condition using same T-Code - Ct04.

But you need maintain the data for variant condition on Additional data tab and Restriction Tab.

Enter T-Code - CT04, Specify the Varaiant condition name as X1CONDITION - select Create.

Enter the Description For Variant Condition, then select Additional data Tab page.

on this Tab page, you need to enter Table name and field name.

Table Name is SDCOM and Field name is VKOND.

now select Restrictions Tab page and enter Class type 300 for variant material and save it

Do the same work for all characterstics.

Now you create Class for variant Material and assign the Caharacterstics and Variant Conditions to class.

hello, lucky.

you can create class using CL01. within this t-code, you can also create the characteristics.

another way is to create the characteristics first using CT04, and assign these to your class later on when you do CL01.

do remember to assign the material to a configuration profile using CU41. you also assign the class here.

My requirment is ......Values having some charecters......

value is -X1,X2...etc..

again X1 having.,,,,,X21,x22,,,,etc...

The X11 and X12 are the character values of X1? If yes, the go to X1 in CT04, and maintain the character values as X11 and X12.
