hi experts,
while going through the postings in forums regarding
events in table maint. generator I came across the terms
extracts and total . Can anybody please explian to me what is this extract and total?

Hi,
Total and Extract tables are internal tables that SAP uses in the Table maintenance programs that are generated by SAP.
These tables are used mainly in case of modification through events (Enhancements to Table maintenance).
Total table contains the entire table contents that is present in the DB.
Extract internal table contains the extract of the data that was created, deleted or changed during an action on the table maintenance screen.
