Hi,

In the Product Availability check what do you mean by the following statement

"If the requirements date lies within this time interval, the check is carried out. Requirements that lie after the end of the checking horizon are not checked, which means they are completely confirmed." Explain.

Thanks,

Hi,

Have you heard of RLT(Replenishment lead Time on Material master in R/3)? The checking horizon on APO side is the same concept.

The product availabilty check checks whether the requirement date lies in the checking horizon, then it actually checks for the material avalability(whether stock is there at that location), if you set 'confirmation at the end of checking horizon', it assumes somehow you are going to provide the required amount and confirms the requirement fully at the end of the checking horizon. It doesn't check with actual stock available.

May be you can set up a small scenario and start playing with this checking horizon settings, definitely you will enjoy.

Hope this is helpful.

Regards,

Deepthi

In the Product master for each prod location in the ATP tab there is a checking horizon. This is maintained or it used RLT (or prodn time + GR time or PDT)

In Customizing for Global ATP under Product Availability Check--> Maintain Check Control you should have Confirmations at Checking Horizons

The effect of this option is that-

A virtual, infinitely large requirement in the checking horizon has the effect that all requirements can be confirmed at the end of the checking horizon, and that receipt elements far in the future have no influence on the short-term availability situation.
