Hi,
I have 2 repositories on One MDM mds server.
One for Products and One for customers.
Cycle for syndication and Import server for products and customer is different cycle.
Did any one test 2 mdis connections to one mds.
Can I have 2 servers or two process for mdis
One to connect to Product repository and
one to connect to Customer repository.
Same with syndication server
One to connect to Product repository and
one to connect to Customer repository.
Thanks,
Madhu
Hi Madhusudhan,
I think you are trying to use 2 MDIS/MDSS for 2 different repositories in the same MDM server. I feel it is not required.
Same MDIS and MDSS (1 import and 1 syndication servers) can be used to make the importing and the syndication automatic.
MDIS and MDSS run based on the ports.
1. You can use 1 MDIS and 1 MDSS and start both of them.
2. Also use a port for Inbound and 1 port for Outbound.( Each for 1 repository)
3. You will then have to set the Processing type as Automatic for the ports.
4. Also you will have to configure your MDS.ini file. ( Mention the details for both the repositories - Product and Consumer )
Please go through the link. It will provide you complete information.
I hope it helps.
Please reward points if found useful.
Thanks and Regards

Jain,
I want to Import at the same time on two repostries.
Customers and Products
mdis is single threaded sequentail on the port processing.
My question is can I have two Import servers running on multiple server one to connect for customer repositary and other to connect to Product repositary.
Thanks
Hi Madhusudhan,
I am not very sure whether you can have 2 MDIS running on same MDS servers. ( Can have some more ideas from others)
But I still think that your requirement can be met with a single MDIS until you want that the data should get imported into both the repository at exactly same time.
As in the MDIS.ini file, you will have to configure the Server details and for then for both the repositories you will have to mention the username nad the password.
It will scans the Inbound port and then perform the importing. After the importing, it will then move on for the next Inbound port.
I hope it helps.
Thanks and regards
