diferencebetween report and script?

cud anyone tell me the exact difference between script and report ? i dont want definition

Reports are useful for internal purpose (with in the organization).

Scripts are for external purpose( outside organization).

Reports are client independent.

Scripts are client dependent.

Reports cannot be used for barcode format.

Scripts can do.

Formating of output is not good in reports.

Reverse case in scripts.

in reports u cannot work with pixels in case of logos but in scrip[ts u can.

repot is for internal use

report is used for mainmly decxision making

scripts are nothing but business documents which give

information and its is used externaly

Script is a form which has a layout set as per the company standards and can be used for external use too.

Generally reports are designed for internal use for in house users

Reports are used in day to day business environment. Reports are Programs that read data from the database, processes the data and displays the data to the required format. In simple words, reports are for extraction of data based on user requirements.

SAP Script is basically the output what we generate from the SAP System. Output in the form of Billing Document, Picking List, Sales order confirmation, & so on.

Hi Singh,

Report in general useful for internal use like displaying the content in the database within the organisation for only display purpose.

where as Scripts are useful for EXTERNAL purpose.

the best eg is mark sheets of public or graduate exams.

the mark list which we recieved are scripts . It contains a specific format,back ground color,logo etc..by seeing the format we can say it is original, but in reports it is not possible and it is useful for only internal purpose.ie; not valid as a original copy.
