Problem in Result recording - Long Term Inspection charcteristic

Dear Gurs,

For some of the raw material, I want to make result recording after UD.

I have mention the charcteritic (MIC) involved in the material as Long term Charcteristic and I have done the result recording and UD.

while doing the result recording for the material second time the system doesn't allow me to make the result recording

and show the system status STIC,ICCO, UD we can't make the RR.

Is it possible to do the same, if I mention the same as Long term Inspection characteristic ? or suggest me .

STIC Short-term insp. completed

ICCO All inspections completed

UD Usage decision has been made

Hi,

Check the value in the field "Consider Long-Term Characteristics for Stock Proposal" for UD Selected set for the inspection type (QS51)

Dear Srinivas,

Once UD has been completed, use QA12 to change the UD.

Select Edit>Reset>Inspection Completion

This removes the status ICCO from the lot.

Go to QE01, it should ask if you want to carry out a long-term inspection?

Answer yes.

And proceed for Result change.

I have a similar problem as mentioned above and the solutions given dont work because

1-when the inspection completion is forced, the system takes ICCO status by default and that means that LTinspectuion is not applicable. I want to ask how do we complete the characteristics for the result recording without forcing the inspection?.

2-if we reset the inspection as suggested then the MIC's attached also are removed from the inspection plan. How do we prevent this from happening?

Hi,

If you have mentioned the MIC as Long term char , you will be able to do result recording for Long term char after result recording.

See the help tips provided by SAP.

In a long-term inspection:

o There can already be a usage decision for the inspected material

during the long-term inspection

o You can still record inspection results for long-term

characteristics, once you have made the usage decision

o The system sets a separate status in the inspection lot to identif

the long-term inspection and it provides special worklists and

workflow tasks for this purpose

In your case , i am not sure whether you have mentioned the char as Long term char or not?

ICCO indicates - The inspection for both short-term and long-term characteristics has ended for this inspection lot.
