hey guys,
I created small webdynpro application using NWDS.
Should i have to set configure for J2ee paths and engines?
if so could you pls tell me what are all the place
should i have to check the java settings to run webdynpro programs.
I have erp 2004 SAP system + NWDS installed in My laptop.
also i have downloaded J2ee and installed in my system.
I dont know how to start J2ee if required to run this Webdynpro program.
advice please.

Hi,
Strart your J2EE engine by MMC console, in NWDS ->Windows -Preferrences->J2EE engine->mention host and port of the Jee Engine/WAS, Now right click on your application deploy and run the application ,during this process it ask's for sdm password give default password as sdm.
you see an IE window with your application UI...

Thanks for giving me reply.
I installed J2EE engine in my laptop and my company have the ERP2004 server.
I started J2EE engine and i gave below link
http://localhost:4848/admingui/j_security_check
it asks me user id and password.
Could you pls tell me whats the user id and pwd should i have to give?
I tried admin,sdm and sdm,sdm,admin,administrator..but fails..advise please.

while deploying the web dynpro application at NWDS,i get below error

Please check your preferences. You have not set the preferences of your J2EE engine in NWDS. After setting it under the menu path Windows>Preferences>SAP J2EE engine. enter the name of your WAS host and the port.
Then check on the J2EE engine tab if all the lights are green as per what armin suggested.
