Dia Work Process Memory usage too much

hello friends,

On WEB AS 6.20 with SAP 4.7 Version, some heavy reports like ME2M

are taking alot of memory around 2.7 GB when viewed in SM50, this is making my

server performance low even with few users logged on .

Is there any provision by which DIA work process memory usage should be limited

for reports only .Any SAP note. I have gone through service market place but

there are many notes and i am not able to make a defined solution for this problem.

Hi Sam,

You can set the time frame for the reports / some process.

If some reports extend the time frame of set limit then it will be canceled or wont generate.

goto rz13 and add the parameters icm/time_out (apprx.) and make it to 180 sec..or depeneds on you.

save it and restart the system.

Hi Jase,

There is no short cut to reduce the memory consumption. You may ask the ABAPer's to look in to it in case if prog. can be tuned. So best idea is get ready for another Application server with more Dialog WP's, so that you will have more memory.
