Dear Experts
What is the difference between
= Transportation Planning point AND
= Shipping Point ?
Regards
SDC
Transportation Planning point is one of the elements for planning Shipment, but a delivery cannot be created without shipping point.
A shipping point is supposed as entry or exit point from any plant. This organizational unit is required to create delivery in sales.

A Plant becomes Delivering Plant only once it is assigned in Enterprise Structure to a combination of Sales Organization & Distribution Channel. Once this assignment is done only after that Shipping point can be assigned tp plant, else Plant will not appear in the list for assignment of Shipping Point.
Shipping Point as mentioned earlier is the entry & exit point from a plant.

Hi
Shipping point is assigned to a plant. A Shipping point is a place in a plant from where the materials are shipped or delivered. A delivery will not be carried out until u give a shipping point along with other criteria.
Transportation planning point is a part of shipping process which is involved in shipments. A shipment is a collective processing of various shipping documents . It is used to plan the shipments from a transportation planning point
Hope the explanation is clear
