Former Member

Hi Experts,

We have installed

1) DTR

2) CMS

3) CBS

in our Webas 7.0 System

When I access the URL

1)NWDI

http://<J2EE Host>:50000/devinf/main

I get the following message

Tried to show all tracks defined in CMS, but user has no permission to read data from CMS

2)CBS -

http//<J2EE Host>:50000/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tc.CBS.WebUI/WebUI

I get the following message

User requires at least GUEST permissions; contact your system administrator

3)CMS

http://<J2EE Host>:50000/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tcSLCMS~WebUI/Cms

Access denied

You are not authorized to use CMS.

You need "Display" authorization. Please contact your system administrator.

Please let me know what permissions I need to access all the above URLs without issues

Best Regards,

Roby..

Hi Robert,

please check the Howto-Guide you find via https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e0f341af-e86e-2910-3e8a-d9e3c227.... It explains all necessary permissions for NWDI.

Don't be confused, as this Howto-Guide gives you almost all possibilities to define a very strict security management. Adapt it as needed.

Best regards,

Timo

Hi,

Do we need to apply note 840523???

Also let me know, the user ids should be exact as per note??? can we not have common user for all roles / group as per note.

Can we not assign all roles / group to single user ep_admin??

Try This

1 and 2 are imp, 3 is validation

1. Your NWDI username/password and the SLD username password should be the same.

2. Make sure the user is also assigned to the group NWDI.Developer on both NWDI/and SLD

3. Make sure this was done : Note 877804 - NWDI communication user in central SLD server .

Go to User administration - search for the user who wants to access NWDI and assign NWDI.Administrators and NWDI.Developers groups and roles to the user.

after assigning the roles and groups you should be able to access

reward points if helpful

Hi Bala,

Thanks for the response.

The thing is we dont have the roles/groups mentioned by you

1)NWDI.Administrators

2)NWDI.Developers

Is it that we have missed something in the installation?

We have directly installed the 3 components of the NWDI in our WebAS system

DTR , CBS & CMS

Please advice.

Thanks again & Best Regards,

Hi,

You have to possibilies:

1) Create the roles manually (refer to the config guide of NWDI) and assign it to a user

2) Use NWA config wizard, to configure NWDI for you.

Daniel

Hi Robert,

if these groups are not available , then feel free to create them, the point is only that these are having the role NWDI.Administrator and NWDI.Developer resepctively and even more important what UME actions these roles are having.

They need to have the actions like in the note https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/840523 like CMS.Display. This is also the error message complains about when you log on with a user having no UME action like this.

Alternatively you can run the "DI all-in one" CTC installation wizard. That'll take care all of these steps.

Best Regards,

Ervin

Make sure the user exists with the same authorization in the SLD server as well. This is should resolve the CMS display error

NWDI.developer should be assigned to the user on NWDI as well as SLD server.

Thanks
