sure. I want to determine "item category", you see, four components for it are item category group/document type/item usage/high level item, so I want to know where item usage can be used ( for sap operation , not for customizing). thanks

Hi

many "usage" types available in sap .This usage is useful for

particular item porpus .

for ex.........

free goods - usage- FREE

in different concepts we r using material determination and batch all these concepts...........

your allready getting item catagiry determination............

Dear bo zhang

This indicator can be used for determination of item categories, where you can use it to control which other item categories are to be found in a certain environment (text items and packing items, for example).

Go to VD52 and select any item maintained there where you will find a field "Item Usage". This can be used in some cases where you want to maintain a specific scenario to that customer. It is also used for free goods and material determination.
