Hii all ,
I have a Query regarding data and cofiles.actually we have
requests in SE03 right ..now if at all I choose these any one
of these request to transport ..I am able to release them but
after that I am not able to understand what next.....???
ok I even want to know how are data and cofiles generated
regarding a request.how can we create them in
usr\sap\trans ....I observed only when data and cofiles
regarding requests are there in the file system we can import
them in the STMS level.
also any other information regarding requests let it be a basic
thing plz do share ..
Thank you.
I only understand 1/3 of the contents of this thread.!!
Anyhow...
Manjula: One of the most important things in an SAP Landscape is that the TMS (Transport Management System) is properly configured and all the changes are distributed to the right system/clients to keep the landscape consistent. Therefore you need to configure your transport domain so when you release a transport the cofile and datafile are imported into the next system STMS Queue.

kumar: the cofile and datafile are created at the time the transport is released

Hello Manjula,
Data and co-files would get automatically created once the transports are released.

I am not quite sure what you are asking here, but you can export transports manually at the operating system level. Example : tp pf=TP_DOMAIN_<SID>.PFL <Transport number> client=<Client where transport was created>
