Table /CCM/D_ITM contains items in operation status 4

Hello Experts,

We have implemented SRM50 with CCM200_700. We are d ealing with a lot of performace problems when uplaoding and publishing catalogs. Currently we have 29 procurements catalogs in which content is automatically uplaoded form the suppier and master catalog. I have a few question about CCM

1if we load 4000 items in CCM and they are mapped are they entered in 29 different tables ? I don't think so but just to be sure.

Also is table /CCM/D_ITM the table to know how many items there are exactly in the in CCM ?

Why are there items in that table with opration status 4 which is delete?
