multiple account assignment categories

Hi experts,

We are on SRM 5.0 using the classic scenario.

When we create a shopping cart with one or more materials, we use a multiple account assignment.

In this multiple account assignment, we use different categories (for example: 2 projects and 1 order). However, when transferring the shopping cart to R/3 , it generates a backend error because the R/3 system can apparently not handle multiple account assignment categories on 1 material. Is this normal behaviour?

Kind Regards,

Tom

Hi Tom,

There should not be any issue with the multiple account assignment for one item.In the sense you are allotting percentage to each account assignment category as to how much percentage to charge for one category and how much percentage for the other category.

Lets say you have ordered for hundred items based on the percentage you have given for each account assignment category (lets say 40% & 60%), cost of 40 items will be accounted for one account assignment category and the other 60 items will be accounted for the other account assignment category.

Check whether the account assignment you have given in SRM exists in R/3 or not. What ever account assignment you give in SRM should also exist in R/3.

Please let us know about the outcome after checking the above points. Clarifications are welcome.

Hi Tom,

I would say it's not normal as in R/3 you can have multiple account assignments. Try searching OSS notes to find out more. You can also check your SRM customizing for mapping acc. categories between SRM and R/3.

kind regards,

Robert
