Installation Software Component ADOBE LIVECYCLE DESIGNER 7.1

Hello,

I need to implement adobe interactive forms with SAP ABAP web dynpro.

The version of application server is SAP NW AS 6.40.

I am trying to download installation software of Adobe Livecycle designer in SAP Software Distribution Center but it says "data not available". Where can I find the initial installation of the builder?

You can download the Adobe LiveCycle Designer 7.1 installer from SAP Service Marketplace itself.

Goto http://service.sap.com/installations

Select Entry by Application Group -> SAP NetWeaver -> SAP NETWEAVER -> SAP NETWEAVER 04 -> Installation and Upgrade -> <Choose any OS and DB combination.>

There should be a file for ALD 7.1 called 01200615322000000711.zip.

Additonally please refer notes 962673 and 965548 for information regarding installation.

I am actually downloading it (50%) but I hope it is not just a patch, I'll keep you informed.

It now opens correctly the builder from SAP R/3.

Hi,

I downloaded it some time ago.

I thought it was on the download part of SDN (see trays).

If not available there, it's on the marketplace (service.sap.com, under downloads, search by application name, netweaver, netweaver, Adobe).

It is unavailable on marketplace: "no data available".

Same as for Adobe Document Services...

The only downloadable things are maintenance software (patchs).

I got mine from service market place. Below is the path:

http://service.sap.com > SAP Support Portal

Downloads > SAP Installations and Upgrades > Search for Installations and Upgrades (left nav).

search for "adobe". You should see "ADOBE LIVECYCLE DESIGNER 7.1"

I searched it myself two minutes before posting the thread and was able to get to it. Seems like you might have some licensing or permission issues with that s/w....

Hmm... In that case, did you try clicking the second Icon - The one with a little arrow sign (Add to download basket) instead of the link itself? I get the same message as you did when I click on the link itself....

Maybe I could use SAP Solution Manager, that software has te be installed on server side, am I right?

If you are referring to Adobe Lifecycle Designer, then it is a client side tool. It's installed locally on your machine.

Yes - Although I have never done it myself, I think you should be able to do that. I personally prefer using the download manager & shopping cart.

Thanks to you, I ended up downloading the latest version (8.0) for myself.

It's ~300MB. Do you have a site I can upload it for you?

Hello Rao,

I've downloaded the very first time but as you can see, this is just a patch of a bit less than 300MB, it's mentioned under the link: maintenance and not installation.

I've installed it and it doesn't work as FormDesigner.exe is not found...

My co-worker had the exact same issue. I think he uninstalled and re-installed again and it worked. Let me check with him to see what he did to resolve it and get back to you.
